About Laurie Juraszek, Psy.D.

I haven't always been a psychologist. I started my working life as communications specialist in the United States Air Force. Mid career, I commissioned as a Comm/Computer officer and retired from the Air Force after serving 21 years. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology, a master's degree in management, and a doctorate in psychology.

 

I trained as a generalist and have a wide and varied experience in psychotherapy. I have worked in the following settings: university student counseling, juvenile detention, adolescent day treatment, psychological assessment, substance abuse treatment, Veteran's Affairs, and family practice for the Air Force. I also worked as a performance psychologist for the Air Force.

 

As the sole provider at Limitless Connections, I am licensed in Alaska and experienced with working with couples and individuals experiencing a wide range of problems. I am trained in multiple therapies including: 

• Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, families and individuals

• Cognitive Processing and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for trauma

• Gestalt therapy for individuals and groups

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

When I work with clients, I do a thorough assessment first and then partner with clients to identify and use their unique strengths to create positive change in their lives and relationships.

I work with adults, couples and families (adults and adolescents (13 and up).
